Dr Namrata Jasani

Dr. Namrata Jasani is a well experienced and dedicated Chest Physician practicing since 2013. After completing her MBBS and MD Pulmonary Medicine from the top Government Colleges in Mumbai, India, she spent her time learning the art of medicine at Pittsburgh USA. She has gained immense experience in various fields like Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Critical care, Infectious diseases, Bronchoscopy at Allegheny General Hospital, USA.
She believes that breathing easy is vital to our very existence, a gift we all too often take for granted. Any malfunction that disrupts our breathing can cause great discomfort and even endanger life.
She understands just how precious every breath is and hence she treats all her patients with empathy and compassion so that they can breathe better and live better as every breath matters.

  • 01/03/2016 – 14/04/2016 - Six weeks rotation at the Internal Medicine outpatient clinics under Dr. Prashan Thiagarajah and Dr. Raymond Gallon, Allegheny Health Network, Pittsburgh, PA.
  • 01/07/2016 – 31/12/2016 – Six months inpatient rotation in Internal Medicine under Dr. Prashan Thiagarajah and Dr. Raymond Gallon at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Clinical Experience:

  • Management of COPD, asthma, pneumonia, interstitial lung diseases, sleep apnea, tuberculosis (MDR and XDR), lung abscess, other lung diseases.
  • Interpretation of pulmonary function tests.
  • Proficiency in performing various clinical procedures independently like diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, intercostal drain insertion, endotracheal intubation, central line insertion, peripheral line insertion, arterial blood gas collection.
  • Participated in the Advanced Lung Diseases Symposium and Hands-On Workshop at University of Maryland, USA.

Intensive Care Experience:

  • Gained residency training from one of the very few centers in India with an independent Intensive Respiratory Care Unit.
  • Management of patients requiring non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, acidbase electrolyte disturbances, sepsis, multi organ failure, advanced COPD, ARDS, acute poisoning, snake bites, tetanus, drowning, perioperative surgical care, poly-trauma, etc.
  • Participated in the Live Learning Course by American College of Chest Physicians on Bronchoscopy in ICU (May 6-7, 2017).
    Hands-on practice and skill development on management of massive hemoptysis, bronchoscopy guided percutaneous tracheostomy, endobronchial blockers for massive hemoptysis, NIPPV- assisted bronchoscopy, flexible bronchoscopy techniques for foreign body removal like forceps, basket, cryoprobe, etc.
